Job Description

The Mine Operator is responsible for operating basic mining equipment and assisting in daily mining activities under direct supervision. Minimum of high school education or equivalent. High level of safety and quality. Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.) Good problem-solving skills. CDL license is a plus, but not required. Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge

  • Preferred. Warehouse experience
  • Preferred. Operator Equipment Smoothly, Safely and Efficiently and Follow Mining Plans. Accountable for managing ownership area (Haul Truck Operators
  • Haul Road Condition), (Excavator Operators
  • Pit Area around Excavator including spotting of Trucks), (Dozer Operator
  • Dump area). Complete All Required Reports Accurately and Timely Including
PRE-SHIFT
Inspections, Area Examinations, Operator Equipment Report. Support and Move Safety Culture Forward by immediately reporting Hazards, Conduct SLAM prior to performing each task, Performing BBS Observations, following safety Procedures and participating in Tail Gate Meetings. Task Train and/or train co-workers on equipment. Follow Environmental Policies including reporting/controlling spills, installing and maintaining BMP's, Taking Water Samples as necessary, and treating low PH water. In addition to the above, tasks and projects may be added on a temporary or permanent basis as deemed necessary by management. Additional duties as assigned.
