Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations. Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned which would include but are not limited to: shoveling, rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, stoppings, ventilation, belt moves, power moves, pumping and roadway maintenance. Perform other tasks and duties as required to maintain the outby areas in efficient operating condition.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

Fill in on section as needed and as qualifications allow. Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

General knowledge of mining support activities (rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, ventilation, pumps, etc.). Knowledge of safe job procedures for general inside labor. Skill with hand tools. Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

This position requires the operator to possess the dexterity (refer to Physical Abilities) to work and operate machinery and equipment in a coal seam height that varies. The operator must constantly be attentive to the changing geological conditions and surrounding environment.
