Job Description
Plant City , United States Propane Ninja (Quality in Propane, LLC) is seeking an experienced Propane Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for a skilled propane or LP gas professional with hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining residential and commercial propane systems. Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain residential and commercial propane systems, including tanks, regulators, piping, cages, and related equipment Set, swap, and leak-test tanks for commercial and business accounts Diagnose and repair propane system and appliance issues, including water heaters, pool/spa heaters, generators, and other gas equipment Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, pressure testing, and required safety checks Identify unsafe conditions and complete repairs in accordance with NFPA 54/58, Florida LP Gas requirements, and Propane Ninja safety standards Accurately document completed work and communicate service findings and recommendations professionally with customers Must Have Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Prior experience with propane, LP gas, natural gas, or comparable fuel-system installation and service Hands-on experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting tanks, regulators, piping, and related gas equipment Ability to work safely, independently, and accurately in field-service environments Strong mechanical skills and confidence using hand and power tools Willingness and ability to obtain CDL with Hazmat endorsement, if not already held. Comfort using smartphones or tablets to complete service documentation and field reports. Nice to have Active CDL with Hazmat endorsement Current PERC Certifications (4.1-4.4) Florida Cat I Qualifier or Master Qualifier License Additional manufacturer , appliance, or gas-system certifications. Complete PERC certifications. Tier 2 Advanced Field Tech Up to $70,720 PERC certified. Working toward Cat I Qualifier License. Tier 3 Lead Service Tech Up to $94,120 Cat I Qualifier. Leads projects and field crews. Tier 4 Master Service Tech Up to $102,440 Master Qualifier. Trains others, leads compliance and estimating.
