ROLE & SCOPE
The Gas Service Technician is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining gas meters, regulators, gas lines and gas appliances. Testing for gas leaks. Working on boilers, ovens, gas fireplaces, gas-fired refrigerators, hydronic heating systems, and related. Installing and connecting appliances to gas, water, and electrical supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Must pass the
EEI CAST
Test. 2. This position will require the satisfactory completion of a pre-screening (for new hires), completion of company training programs, evaluations and written test. 3. Qualified applicants must pass a pre-employment/pre-placement drug test in accordance with D.O.T regulations. 4. Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record. 5. High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational, mechanical, or plumbing training is highly preferred 6. Ability to work independently and outdoors in all types of varying weather conditions. Must be physically capable of walking long distances while carrying gas meters/tools. 7. Must have 2 years of related mechanical experience, gas utility experience preferred. 9. Must have a history of safe working habits.
