This role operates on a 3-weeks-on/3-weeks-off schedule, with 12-hour shifts required throughout the duration of your hitch, both at the wellsite and in the shop. Compensation and Logistics The pay rate is between $25 and $27 per hour, depending on your experience. You will work 12-hour days for the entire 3-week rotation, with Alaska overtime rules applying after 8 hours daily (meaning each 12-hour shift includes 4 hours of overtime). All travel, flights, and camp accommodations are fully covered. Core Responsibilities Execute cased-hole and open-hole wireline tasks, including logging, perforating, plug setting, and pipe recovery to ensure project success. Manage the assembly and disassembly of pressure control gear, wellhead adapters, and wireline units. Maintain control of wireline units while tracking depth, line tension, and the status of the toolstring. Ensure all downhole equipment, cables, and tools are properly tested, assembled, and serviced. Contribute to shop and yard maintenance tasks during your hitch to keep equipment in top condition. Help maintain a safe working environment by strictly adhering to H2S, well control, explosives, radiation, and North Slope HSE protocols. Accurately prepare all necessary paperwork, including JSAs, tool reports, and job tickets. Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other wellsite team members to achieve operational goals. Ensure full compliance with all camp regulations, PPE requirements, badging, and North Slope access standards. Required Qualifications Demonstrated professional experience as a wireline operator (this is a mandatory requirement; no trainees). Practical field experience managing wellsite operations, toolstrings, and wireline units. Capacity to maintain a 3-weeks-on/3-weeks-off rotation, working 12-hour shifts for 21 days straight in extreme Arctic environments. Possession of a valid driver's license, with a CDL considered an advantage. Successful completion of a background check, drug/alcohol screening, and client onboarding processes. Current or readily obtainable safety certifications for the North Slope, such as First Aid/CPR, Safeland, PEC, H2S, and site orientations. Legal authorization to work within the U.S. Preferred Skills Previous experience working in remote Arctic camps or on the North Slope. Direct experience with P&A, pipe recovery, and perforating operations. Current certifications for handling explosives or radiation safety.
