Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Horizontal Directional Drill Foreman, where you will lead and oversee the safe and efficient operation of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) projects. This role is vital in executing underground utility installations with precision, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest safety standards. As a Foreman, you will coordinate crews, manage equipment, and maintain quality control while fostering a collaborative work environment that values safety, productivity, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Lead and supervise HDD crews during all phases of directional drilling projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications. Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, graders, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery to support drilling operations. Coordinate with project managers to plan daily work schedules, allocate resources effectively, and meet project deadlines. Conduct routine inspections of equipment machinery and ensure proper maintenance to minimize downtime. Maintain clear communication with team members and clients regarding project progress, safety issues, and operational updates. Ensure compliance with all construction site safety regulations and company policies; lead safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness. Document daily activities, complete reports on project milestones, equipment usage, safety incidents, and site conditions. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Demonstrated experience in construction site management with a focus on underground utility installation or directional drilling projects. Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a variety of construction vehicles safely. Knowledge of horizontal directional drilling techniques and equipment operation is highly desirable. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints related to construction projects. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and enforce safety standards effectively. Join us in building infrastructure that makes a difference! Pay:
$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
