Plow Operator / Loader / Skid Steer Operator Storm Hudson Inc Anchorage, AK Job Details Contract $28 - $40 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Ability to follow instructions Loader operation Skid steer loader Full Job Description We are seeking reliable and experienced Plow Operators, Loader Operators, and Skid Steer Operators to support snow and ice removal operations. Employees will operate assigned equipment to keep sidewalks, parking areas, roadways, entrances, and other designated areas safe and accessible during winter weather events. Key Responsibilities Operate skid steers, loaders, and plow-equipped vehicles to perform snow and ice removal. Clear sidewalks, walkways, entrances, stairs, parking areas, roadways, and other designated areas using assigned equipment. Attach and operate plows, snowblowers, and other snow-removal attachments safely and efficiently. Assist with spreading salt, ice melt, and other de-icing materials as needed. Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or hazards. Follow directions from the Foreman and Project Manager to ensure all assigned areas are properly serviced. Work extended, overnight, early-morning, or weekend hours as needed during snow events. Perform work safely in cold, snowy, icy, and changing weather conditions. Maintain and properly care for company equipment and tools. Work effectively as part of a team and assist with other snow-removal duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience operating skid steers, loaders, or similar heavy equipment is required. Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are required. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in winter weather. Ability to perform physically demanding work as needed. Must be safety-conscious and able to follow instructions. Must be available for on-call and/or emergency snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
