Job Description

Snow plow truck operator position available. Currently seeking qualified individuals to operate a truck mounted snow plow For this coming winter and preferably many more winters. This is a part time position, but commitment is required. When it snows you will need to be available to work.
Requirements:
  • Valid Alaska driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a great attitude.
  • Be available to work day and night, long hours, weekends, possibly short hours on holidays.
  • Knowledge of road system in Willow is important as gps will not get you around.
  • Have good listening skills and be able to follow instructions as given.
  • Have a good working cell phone, and the ability to operate truck mounted radios.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds and carry it.
  • Having some mechanical ability is a plus.
  • Have your own transportation.
  • Snow plowing experience is a plus but not necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Duties to include but not limited to: Operate a plow truck safely, and efficiently while producing quality work. Shovel snow on stairs, walkways, decks, sidewalks as needed. Apply salt or sand as needed by hand or machine. Keep vehicles clean and orderly, making note and bringing to attention immediately of any strange noises, leaks, smells, or anything not working properly. Inspect vehicle for low tires, and fluid levels. . Worksite locations may vary from Willow to Wasilla area. Job position is part time and totally dependent upon winter conditions. Typically, each snowfall of four inches or more we'll be working between two and four days. Please E-mail your resume including prior work experience, and references.
