Job Description
Job Description A Project Engineer will work with design professionals, customers, subcontractors and Sheedy field crews to direct complex crane, rigging and heavy transport projects. Responsibilities Develop operational solutions for heavy lift and heavy haul projects. Create engineering plans, fabrication drawings, and provide field supervision in support of Sheedy's projects. Field surveying and layout of jobsites. Act as primary customer interface for engineering projects. Manage engineering project schedules, resource and equipment assignments. Produce work and cost estimates in support of bids and proposals. Manage and direct field crews during installation and use of designed equipment. Lifting and carrying of documents and equipment up to 40 pounds. Maintain knowledge of Sheedy's safety and management policies. Perform additional assignments per management's direction. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or related Engineering field required. Engineer in Training (EIT) or PE preferred. Valid California Driver s License and clean driving record Knowledge and skill in technical writing for clear and efficient communication and understanding. Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize work. Knowledge of AutoCAD and RISA Sheedy Drayage is an equal employment opportunity employer.
