Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced foreman / lead heavy equipment operator to join our company! We are a small company looking for someone with ambition and great work ethics to grow with us!
Scope of work:
You will be in charge and responsible for your own project jobsites and crew (Crew size will range from 2-4 people) You will need to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment (Excavator, Skid Steer, Loader, Etc...) around jobsites. Some examples of the type of work are: Dig foundations, install utilities, set grades, move materials etc... There will be some manual labor needed with the tasks shown above such as shoveling and moving materials You will be working directly with the owner on a daily basis You will be working Monday - Friday (Home every night) & Weekends when needed Typical work day is around 8-10 hours Location of work is normally in the Roaring Fork Valley from Glenwood Springs to
Aspen Responsibilities:
Direct and lead crew on site to safely and efficiently complete jobs on time and budget Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment on site Have strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Ability to work independently and as part of a team Communicate well with clients and other contractors on site Move materials safely and efficiently Keep equipment clean and in good operating condition Inspect equipment before and after work day
Qualifications:
MUST have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable heavy equipment operation experience MUST have clean driving record with no major violations Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills is required Experience with GPS / machine control is preferred Ability to handle physical workload (Lift 100lbs regularly and be able to climb up and down equipment) STRONG work ethic MUST be a NON Tobacco user and be able to pass a drug test •
NOTE:
This position is for a very skilled/high quality foreman / lead operator. You WILL be tested on all types of equipment before employment would begin to verify skill level. If you pass the skills tests and are employed, you will start a 30 day probationary trial period. If you have the skill level and are the level of foreman / lead operator we are looking for, you will then continue full time employment.
