Job Description
PROJECT MANAGER - STRUCTURAL STEEL / PRECAST
Pioneer Steel Inc., is a steel, bridge, and precast concrete erection company based in Western Colorado. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Project Manager.Duties would include:
- Manage projects in an efficient, productive, and goal-oriented manner.
- Administer management controls and processes, including but not limited to; project transition from estimating, project scheduling, contract negotiation and review, document management, field problem tracking, billing coordination with accounting, meet or outperform cost requirements, job profitability and all communications required.
- Track and maintain budgets.
- Provide oversight/supervision, training, and leadership to subordinate team members.
- Review and issue sub-contracts as necessary for the projects.
- Maintain detailed and timely records of all communications and files/documents.
- Coordinate resources such as materials, crane service, rental of equipment and manpower.
- Report and resolve problems proactively, transparently, professionally, ethically, and honestly.
- Build strong relationships with customers and venders.
Position requirements:
- 2 Years minimum experience in Structural Steel.
- Four-year degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred. Experience in like work will be considered.
- Have an insurable driving record and possess a valid driver's license.
- Physically able to sit for long periods, lift 50lbs and react quickly to changing conditions.
- Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, self-directed, and productive in the workplace.
- Ability to operate a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Office, Windows, Apple IOS (iPhone & iPad) and PDF.
Details of employment:
- Position is based out of our office in New Castle, CO. This position is five days a week, M-F. Full Time.
- Travel to projects would be required from time to time with the possibility of overnight stays.
- Salary range to start $90,000 to $140,000.
- Benefits will include matching 401K, paid holidays, vacation, and health insurance.
