Job Description
The Glue Bridge Operator is responsible for operating adhesive application equipment used to assemble mattress components. This position involves applying glue to foam, fabric, and other materials while ensuring proper alignment, bonding, and product quality. Responsibilities Operate and monitor glue bridge machinery. Apply adhesive evenly to foam and mattress components. Position and align materials according to production specifications. Inspect completed products for proper bonding and quality. Adjust machine settings based on production requirements. Clean glue nozzles, rollers, and equipment to prevent buildup. Report equipment problems, defects, or material shortages. Meet daily production and quality goals. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment. Assist with other production duties as needed. Requirements Previous manufacturing or machine-operating experience preferred. Experience working with adhesives, foam, or mattress products is a plus. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and quality. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work around adhesive odors and manufacturing equipment. Ability to work overtime when required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull materials. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
