Full-time We are hiring a dependable Glue Bridge Operator for a mattress manufacturing facility. This position operates glue-application equipment and assists with assembling foam-encased mattresses.
Responsibilities:
Operate the glue bridge machine safely Apply adhesive to foam and mattress components Assemble and inspect mattress materials Measure materials and follow production instructions Maintain a clean and organized work area Meet daily production and quality standards Perform other production duties as assigned
Requirements:
Manufacturing or machine-operation experience preferred Comfortable working with glue and strong odors Able to stand throughout the shift Able to lift up to 50 pounds Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Must follow all safety procedures Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Glue Bridge Operator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless production of high-quality printed and packaged products. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with industrial equipment, interpret production documents, and uphold strict safety and quality standards. As a key contributor to our manufacturing process, you'll be empowered to operate machinery efficiently, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and maintain precise dimensional measurements—all while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor glue bridge machinery used in converting and packaging processes to ensure optimal performance. Interpret production documents, including job orders and specifications, to accurately set up and run equipment. Perform mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments on converting machines, flexo presses, and other industrial equipment to resolve issues promptly. Conduct dimensional measurements and quality checks to meet strict production standards and ensure finished products align with specifications. Handle manual tasks such as paper packaging, machine loading/unloading, and manual handling of materials with safety as a priority. Maintain safety protocol adherence by following established safety standards in production environments and participating in safety training sessions. Collaborate with manufacturing management to optimize workflow, improve processes, and uphold quality standards throughout the production cycle. Qualifications Proven experience operating converting machines, flexo presses, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic machining adjustments and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Familiarity with quality standards in production, dimensional measurements, and interpreting complex manufacturing documents. Ability to use basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments. Valid forklift certification is preferred for handling materials safely within the facility. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and strict adherence to safety protocols is essential. Prior experience in printing or packaging industries is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is key.
