Duties Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks efficiently and safely across construction sites. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety regulations. Handle materials using specialized equipment like material handlers, water trucks, tanker trucks, and roll-off trucks to support project needs. Follow all occupational safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations. Assist with site preparation activities including grading, excavation, loading/unloading materials, and site cleanup. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and ensure project timelines are met without compromising safety standards. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks in accordance with company policies. Skills Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and routine equipment maintenance procedures. Ability to interpret technical manuals and operate hand tools effectively for minor repairs or adjustments. Familiarity with MSHA safety regulations and occupational safety standards related to heavy equipment operation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience driving trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, or tankers is highly desirable. Excellent understanding of construction site protocols including material handling equipment operation and safety procedures.
