Hydraulic Press Operator

We are seeking a highly experienced Hydraulic Press Operator to join our advanced manufacturing team focused on high-performance composites and engineered materials. This is a critical production role where precision, consistency, and process control directly impact product performance. This position is intended for professionals who understand press dynamics, material behavior, and process repeatability—and who can operate with minimal supervision in a high-accountability environment. What You'll Do Set up and operate hydraulic press systems for precision bonding and forming of composite plates Execute and control press cycles (pressure, temperature, dwell time, cooling) to exact specifications Ensure consistent material layup, alignment, and loading techniques Monitor and adjust processes in real time to maintain quality, flatness, and bond integrity Perform in-process and final inspections to meet strict dimensional and performance standards Troubleshoot press, tooling, and material-related issues with a proactive, problem-solving approach Collaborate with engineering and production leadership to optimize cycle times and improve yield What We're Looking For 3+ years experience operating hydraulic presses in a production environment Strong understanding of process control (pressure, temperature, timing) Experience with composites, UHMWPE, laminates, or similar engineered materials strongly preferred Ability to maintain tight tolerances and repeatable results High level of accountability, discipline, and attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment What Sets You Apart Experience in defense, aerospace, or high-performance manufacturing Ability to dial in and stabilize processes, not just run machines Proven track record of reducing defects and improving throughput Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Compensation & Growth $24 - $32+ per hour, based on experience and capability Premium compensation for candidates with advanced process control or composite experience Opportunity to work in a specialized, high-growth sector Long-term career path within a performance-driven manufacturing team
