• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
• Commonly assist craft workers by carrying materials.
• Load or unload building materials to be used in construction
• Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding, and temporary structures
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction
• Operate or tend equipment and machines used in construction
• Help craft workers with their duties
• Follow construction plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
• Preparing and cleaning up construction sites.
• Install barricades, cones, and markers to control traffic patterns
• Operate the machines and equipment that lay concrete or asphalt on roads Job Requirements

Work Environment:

• The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a laborer encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, night work also possible.
• Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
• Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Subjection to physical, may be required along with other tests as applicable.
• The employee is frequently required to climb, bend forward, reach overhead, repetitive foot motion, and eye-hand-foot coordination.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, use repetitive wrist motion, finger dexterity, pinch, and eye-hand coordination.
• The employee is occasionally required to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
• The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
