Job Description

Ryan Inc has been in business since 1884. We are a family owned and operated Heavy Civil/Sitework Contractor that specializes in Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Heavy Highway, Roadwork, Land Development, Mining and Asphalt Production. We are looking to hire Heavy Equipment Operators such as Dozer, Excavators, Grader, Backhoes. You must be familiar with local conditions and must have at least 2-5 years' experience as a heavy equipment operator on these machines.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Operate a Backhoe, Excavator, Grader, Bulldozer, or other construction heavy equipment Before each shift ensure equipment is in clean working order. Check to make sure that the equipment functions properly and report any issues to superintendent. Check fluid levels daily before use. Ensure that safety standards are met at all times by recognizing and correcting hazards as soon as they arise Move construction materials, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites in a safe and effective manner Use machines to compact earth, baserock (57 Stone) and other fill materials for roadbeds, turn lanes, sidewalks, parking lots and building pads Excavate for and set various underground utilities Safely excavate around existing utilities Be punctual, dependable and professional at all times Work with cost effectiveness, profitability and safety in mind Arrive at work prior to designated work start time Attend all daily and weekly safety and project coordination meetings
Job Requirements:
At least 2-5 years' experience with Backhoe, Excavator, Grader, Bulldozer, or other construction heavy equipment Knowledge of grade control systems such as GPS Must pass a drug screening Legally allowed to work in the US Must have valid
Driver's License Preferred Education/Training/Certification:
