Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators, and will be responsible for executing various tasks on construction sites. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while working on diverse projects that may include digging, building, and site preparation. Duties Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as backhoes, bulldozers, and dump trucks to complete construction tasks. Perform digging and trenching operations while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in horizontal drilling and other specialized excavation tasks as required. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to coordinate work activities and ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery on-site. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators and backhoes. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory. Experience operating water trucks and performing horizontal drilling is a plus. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
