Excavator Operator Job Summary:

Operate excavators safely and efficiently to perform excavation, trenching, grading, loading, demolition, and other earthmoving tasks while following safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and drainage systems.

Load and move soil, rocks, and construction materials.

Perform grading, leveling, and site preparation work.

Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.

Report equipment defects and arrange repairs when necessary.

Follow site plans, drawings, and supervisor instructions.

Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Work closely with site supervisors, engineers, and ground workers.

Ensure the work area is safe before and during machine operation.

Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Valid excavator operator certification or license (where required).

Proven experience operating excavators in construction or related industries.

Knowledge of excavation techniques and equipment maintenance.

Ability to read site plans and follow technical instructions.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
