Welchel Enterprises established in 1974 is home to Marietta Wrecker Service in Marietta, GA, New Image Towing , Forest Park, GA and Statewide Wrecker Service , Lilburn, GA. our mission is to provide timely, efficient, and affordable towing services and roadside assistance in a professional manner.
Job Summary:
A heavy-duty towing operator is responsible for responding to emergency calls, accident scenes, and other requests to tow and recover large commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. Experience in operating various specialized equipment such as hydraulic lifts, winches, wheel lifts, flatbeds and rotators.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional and quality service in a timely manner. Safely recover and haul large vehicles and equipment from accidents and work locations Adherent to safety procedures and regulations, conduct daily pre-trip inspections, and maintain a clean and service-ready vehicle. Complete detailed paperwork, that includes driver log, job tickets and invoices. Effectively communicate with dispatchers, law enforcement, and other emergency responders to ensure an impediment operation. Build positive rapport with dispatchers, customers and team members. Operate specialized heavy-duty tow trucks and recovery equipment effectively and safely.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license in the state of Georgia Obtain a valid DOT card Acceptable MVR standards set by FMCSA Excellent problem-solving skills to manage complex recovery situations. Be able to perform essential tasks involving lifting, bending, and operating heavy equipment. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call assignments. Proficient in navigating GPS logistics tools and fleet management software.
