Description :
Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of large production earthmoving equipment on heavy civil construction projects. This position will primarily operate CAT D9 and D10 bulldozers (or equivalent) to perform rock push operations, mass excavation, site development, cut and fill work, and material movement in support of project production goals. Operators will work closely with excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and other heavy equipment to move blasted, ripped, and excavated rock and earth materials safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, maintaining production targets, identifying maintenance concerns, and adhering to all company and project safety requirements. Candidates must have experience operating large production dozers in heavy civil, mining, quarry, mass grading, data center, roadway, or large earthwork environments. Experience performing rock push operations and working in high-production settings is strongly preferred. Equipment Operators may be required to assist with general labor duties when equipment operation is not required and must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as project demands require.
Position Requirements :
5+ years of experience operating large bulldozers in heavy civil construction, mining, quarry, mass excavation, or large earthwork projects. Demonstrated experience operating CAT D9 and D10 dozers or equivalent large production dozers. Experience performing rock push operations , including pushing blasted, ripped, or excavated rock material in high-production environments. Ability to work safely and efficiently around excavators, haul trucks, scrapers, and other heavy equipment. Knowledge of production earthmoving techniques and maintaining consistent material movement to support project schedules. Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and identify maintenance needs. Strong understanding of site safety requirements and safe equipment operation on varying terrain and jobsite conditions. Valid driver's license required. OSHA 10 certification preferred. Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and travel as project needs require.
