Job Description
The Complex Utility with CDL is responsible for performing a variety of jobs in the log yard, at the complex, and at other locations as needed on various shifts. The Complex Utility mainly operates a water truck, street sweeper, and a snowplow with a salt/gravel spreader on flatbed truck but may operate other equipment as needed. The hourly rate for this position is $28.96 plus a $1.50/hr. swing shift differential.
Essential Job Functions :
Operate Sweeper (complex and dry facility) Operate water truck (complex and dry facility) Operate Flatbed truck with plow, to plow snow on roads and parking lots. Shovel walkways and door entrances. Gravel and salt roads and door entrances. Wash weigh scales. General complex clean-up including weed eating. Maintain sweeper, water truck, four-wheeler, and snow-plow - keep them in good working order, by working with our rolling stock department. Will be trained to run front end loader, if not trained. Will be trained to drive dump truck, if not trained. Will be required to drive trucks off complex. Perform other duties as needed. Infrequent or Marginal Job Functions Help carpenters and fire chief with projects when available. Firewatch for millwrights when available. Perform other duties as needed. Environmental/Safety Maintain compliance with all St. Maries Complex Environmental & Safety rules and regulations. Working Conditions Must be able to tolerate extreme hot, cold, and outdoor conditions. Comfortable working in a loud environment, around moving machinery, with vibrations.Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S. Must have a current CDL, Class B with tanker endorsement license. Must be able to provide proof of driving heavy equipment. A good attendance, work, driving, and safety record. Must be willing to work overtime on short notice and any shifts and weekends as needed. Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Must be able to tolerate extreme hot, cold, and outdoor conditions. Must be comfortable working in a loud environment, around moving machinery, with vibrations. This job will require physical activity such as lifting items up to 50 pounds, carrying tools, and bending.
