Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator. This hands-on position plays a key role in daily yard operations by safely loading and unloading materials, operating heavy equipment, and supporting equipment maintenance efforts. Successful candidates will have previous experience with heavy machinery, preferably excavators, backhoes, or similar equipment, along with a proven history of reliability and attendance. Candidates should be physically capable of climbing equipment, lifting to 50 pounds, and contributing to a safety-first, team-oriented work environment. What You'll Do Operate Heavy Machinery:
Use a mobile crane to load and unload trucks, as well as handle and process materials.
Perform Machine Controls & Safety:
Operate machine controls within safe limits, recognizing equipment capabilities and limitations to ensure safe operations across a wide variety of job situations.
Monitor & Report Equipment Issues:
Identify operational control problems and report them promptly to the yard foreman, manager, or supervisor so they can be adjusted or repaired. Assist with
Maintenance:
Work alongside mechanics to help perform routine maintenance and equipment repairs, including manually lifting and moving up to 50 pounds of equipment parts.
Maintain Yard Upkeep & Servicing:
Climb onto various areas of the machine to clean components and grease parts to keep equipment running smoothly. Collaborate as a
Team:
Work cooperatively with other employees, follow directions closely, and maintain safety standards while working around heavy equipment and busy yard traffic.
What We're Looking For Heavy Equipment Experience:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment, with a specific emphasis on excavators or backhoes.
Safety & Compliance:
Extensive knowledge of safety requirements for working around heavy machinery and congested areas, paired with an unblemished work and attendance record.
Physical Capability:
Agility and flexibility to climb on and off machines for greasing and cleaning, and the strength and dexterity to manually lift and move up to 50 pounds during equipment maintenance.
Coordination & Skill:
Strong eye, hand, and foot coordination to expertly operate machine controls, alongside a willingness to learn new skills.
Teamwork & Attitude:
The ability and willingness to follow directions closely and work cooperatively as part of a team with other employees.
What We Offer Pay range:
$18.00-22.00 per hour. (Varies based on experience)

Monday through Friday 6:00AM to 4:00PM (Possible OT on Saturdays 6AM to 12PM)
