Aggregates Job Summary•Operate heavy equipment, specifically quarry loaders, to move and load materials within the quarry environment, ensuring efficient and safe material handling operations. Job Responsibilities•Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load trucks, crushers, and stockpiles with various aggregates (e.g., sand, gravel, crushed stone). Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and operating controls, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and organized work area around the loader and loading zones. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following traffic control plans. Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and other quarry personnel to coordinate loading activities. Monitor material quality and report any inconsistencies or contamination. May perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, such as greasing and cleaning. Job Qualifications•High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience operating heavy equipment, particularly front-end loaders, in a quarry or construction environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations. Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, including climbing, bending, and lifting, in various weather conditions. Mechanical aptitude for performing routine equipment checks and minor maintenance.
