Overview The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment for road construction purposes. Duties include but may not be limited to, the following positions: Equipment Operator, Roller Operator (Self-Propelled, Asphalt), Skid Steer, and Power Broom. Essential Job Functions Safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment in road construction settings. Perform Daily Equipment Checklists and ensure the equipment is in good running order. Communicate with Project Supervisor as to the daily job specifications. Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with supervisors, co-workers and the general public. Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with all Company safety policies and procedures. Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices. Perform flagging duties to safely help the general public through work zones. Perform general labor tasks as required. Perform essential job functions and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Education Requirements:

Be able to communicate appropriately with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public. Related experience in road construction and paving ( preferred ). High school education or GED equivalent ( preferred ). Heavy Equipment Operators should have 1-3 years of related experience in road construction and paving ( preferred ).

Qualifications:

Pass a pre-employment drug screen. Pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical. Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document. Must be willing to travel when needed. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times. Report to work at the designated start time. Be able to work long hours in extreme weather. Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and OSHA guidelines. Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Be at least age 18 years of age. Physical Requirements Lift, carry and hold tools, supplies and materials. Stand for long periods of time. Work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time. •
