Job Summary In this energetic role, you will provide exceptional care and attention to pets, ensuring they feel safe, and comfortable. You'll play a vital part in creating a positive environment for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of animals while developing valuable skills in animal care and customer service. Responsibilities Provide daily pet care including feeding, watering, administering medications, and cleaning enclosures to maintain a healthy environment. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to prevent injury or stress. Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing. Maintain cleanliness of all pet areas through regular cleaning routines, sanitation procedures, and waste disposal. Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, i.e. medical history, feeding instructions, medications, reservation details. Greet clients professionally and assist with pet check-in and check-out. Prioritize multiple task in a calm, organized manner. Self-awareness, disease control, and an understanding of animal body language are important aspects. Observe pets for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes and promptly report concerns to management. Review reservations and pet information to ensure staff are aware of special instructions and care needs. Help maintain accurate records regarding feeding, medications, and other pet-care information. Communicate professionally with clients when needed and provide updates or answer basic questions about their pets. Address routine staff questions and help ensure company policies and procedures are being followed. Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations. Skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer and phone skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving and time management skills. Calm and confident handling of dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments. Ability to lift 50+ lbs; physical stamina for outdoor work is essential. Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and handling diverse species with patience and confidence. Customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
AVAILABILITY WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAY WEEKS/WEEKENDS ARE MANDATORY
This position requires consistent daytime availability 7AM-7PM throughout the year and is best suited for individuals whose schedules allow them to work during those hours.

From $9.00 per hour
