Georgetown, KY Pay Rate:
$24.06 per hour Keep the Wheels Turning and Your Wallet Full We are hiring a CDL A Yard Hostler in Georgetown for a local, no-touch freight role focused on trailer spotting, yard movements and shuttle operations. This opportunity keeps you close to home while putting your Class A CDL to work in a safety-focused, reliable driving position. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License required Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required as applicable Experience Requirements Valid Class A CDL with a safe driving record Experience operating a yard hostler and performing trailer spotting preferred Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements and vehicle safety procedures Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation Previous local Class A CDL driving experience preferred Strong communication skills, time management and commitment to customer service Physical Capabilities Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a commercial vehicle Ability to enter and exit the tractor and trailer multiple times throughout the workday Ability to perform DOT-required vehicle inspections and work safely in changing weather conditions No freight unloading required for this role Job Duties Perform trailer spotting, yard movements and shuttle operations Operate automotive freight in a no-touch capacity, with no freight unloading required Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate documentation Communicate professionally with dispatch and yard personnel to keep operations running smoothly Maintain a strong safety mindset and reliable, professional driving record If you are a dependable Class A CDL driver looking for local, no-touch freight work, we would love to hear from you.
