Overview We are seeking skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operators to join our LA Team! We offer competitive pay, CDL Sign-on bonus and great benefits package. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating hydrovac equipment for excavation projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work in various environments. The Hydrovac Operator will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate hydrovac equipment to excavate soil and expose underground utilities without damaging them (pot holing). Complete trenching and slot trenching activities safely and accurately. Conduct water transfer operations as required for project support. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure safe operation. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to plan and execute excavation tasks effectively. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including site conditions and equipment performance. Perform routine maintenance on hydrovac equipment, including cleaning and minor repairs. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on-site, promoting a culture of safety among team members. Assist with other heavy equipment operations as needed, including loaders, water trucks, graders, and horizontal drilling. Requirements A valid commercial driving license is required for this position. 2 years of proven CDL experience, particularly with hydrovac trucks. 25 years of age or older Tankers Endorsement Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
