Job Description
Loader Operator - Snow Removal (Seasonal) Boston Logan International Airport - Boston, MA Job Type Seasonal / Temporary (Winter Operations) Job Summary Join our winter operations team at Boston Logan International Airport! We are seeking experienced Loader Operators to help keep airport roadways, parking areas, and operational surfaces safe during snow and ice events. This is an on-call seasonal position requiring availability during winter storms, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts. If you have heavy equipment experience, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to safety, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Operate loaders, skid steers, plow trucks, and other snow removal equipment. Remove snow and apply de-icing materials to designated airport areas. Respond promptly when dispatched during snow and ice events. Perform equipment inspections before and after each shift. Report equipment issues and safety concerns immediately. Complete required logs and timesheets. Follow company, airport, OSHA, and DOT safety requirements. Assist with fueling and cleaning of equipment. Qualifications Previous loader or heavy equipment operating experience required. Need to obtain a Valid Mass Hoisting Engineering License or the ability to obtain one. (Training available) Obtain a valid DOT Medical Certificate (or another accepted medical qualification) Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Boston Logan Airport TSA (Transportation Security Administration) Badge (includes 10-year background check and fingerprinting). Ability to work in extreme winter weather conditions. Reliable transportation. Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to safety. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds. Work outdoors in snow, ice, wind, and freezing temperatures. Sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Climb on and off heavy equipment safely throughout the shift.
