About MCE Dirtworks, Inc. MCE Dirtworks, Inc. is a Cape Cod-based heavy construction and paving company serving residential, commercial, municipal, and public-sector clients. Our work includes asphalt paving, excavation, drainage, site work, utility-related work, and related infrastructure projects throughout Cape Cod. We are seeking an experienced Skilled Asphalt Laborer / Roller Operator to join our paving crew. This position is for someone who has hands-on asphalt paving experience, is comfortable working as part of a crew, and can safely operate a roller as part of daily paving operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, willing to work hard, and able to assist with both labor and equipment operation as needed. This is a full-time position with opportunity to grow within the company. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a roller safely and effectively during asphalt paving operations.
• Assist paving crew with asphalt placement, raking, shoveling, grading, cleanup, and other labor tasks.
• Support proper compaction, rolling patterns, joint work, edges, transitions, and finish quality.
• Drive company vehicles and/or transport equipment, materials, or crew members as needed.
• Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and daily setup of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Follow directions from foremen, supervisors, and equipment operators.
• Maintain awareness of jobsite safety, traffic, equipment movement, and surrounding crew members.
• Help keep tools, trucks, trailers, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Work on residential and HOA driveways and road ways, commercial paving jobs as well.
• Perform other paving, excavation, drainage, site work, or general construction duties as needed. Qualifications
• 3+ years of prior asphalt paving experience strongly preferred.
• Experience operating a roller required.
• Ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor construction environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to safely drive company vehicles preferred.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Hoisting License is a plus.
• OSHA 10 card is a plus; must be willing to obtain if required.
• Ability to work early mornings, seasonal schedules, and overtime when needed.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a crew.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and jobsite procedures.
• Experience willth grading, excavation, drainage, or site work is a plus. Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, shovel, rake, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work around trucks, paving equipment, rollers, skid steers, loaders, and other construction equipment.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
