Gillmann services is recruiting for GPS Heavy Equipment Operators for the Grand Haven area for immediate start Key Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment used in earthmoving and site operations most commonly used on this project: large hydraulic excavator - Komatsu

Perform excavation, grading and shaping in river and stream restoration Load, transport, and unload soil, debris, sand, gravel, and waste materials to designated locations in accordance with project specifications Conduct work and operate equipment in wet environments, water, mud and uneven terrain and environmental conditions Support dust control, dirt compaction, dewatering, sediment stabilization, and dredging operations as required Coordinate tasks using hand held radios and maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members Read and interpret maps, site plans, blueprints, technical manuals, and project specifications Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and equipment documentation Perform routine preventive maintenance and complete pre and post trip equipment inspections Ensure compliance with company safety policies, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and Hazardous Materials Transportation Regulations Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed; travel to job sites as required Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational objectives Knowledge and Skill Requirements Strong working knowledge of GPS heavy equipment operation and job site safety protocols Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Hazardous Materials Transportation Regulations Experience with hydraulic and mechanical dredging, dewatering, sediment stabilization, and waste transportation Ability to operate equipment safely in challenging terrain and environmental conditions Education and Experience 5 to 7 years of experience operating heavy equipment in remediation, construction, or earthmoving projects Experience in projects involving remedial actions preferred Do you have Survey rod and data collecting experience?
