Overview The Yard Hostler Nights is responsible for yard tractors, tractors and straight trucks to position equipment to and from the yard and warehouse. Additional duties include operating warehouse power equipment and other assigned tasks when needed.
Primary Responsibilities Perform pre-trip inspection and inspect trucks thoroughlyMove all trucks in and around the premisesAssist in picking products for production from various warehouse locationsOperate all warehouse equipmentAssist in picking products for production from various warehouse locationsTrack all containers coming onto and leaving the premisesPerform acceptance of inbound loads (per company standards)Close and security seal truck after loading is completedPerform other related duties as assignedAdditional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experienceMust have a current Class A Commercial Driver s licenseAbility to regularly lift and/or move more than 60 pounds (lbs.) repetitivelyPhysical Demands Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations Work may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedules may be required EEO Statement Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. - $34.00 / hour depending upon experience. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills, experience and make an offer appropriately. This position is available for immediate placement. This is a production environment and the hours are Mon
- Thurs, 4 ten-hour shifts from 6:00 PM
- 4:30 AM, plus overtime.
