Job Description

Powell County is looking for a full-time, permanent Road Crew Member in Helmville/Ovando, Montana!
Pay:
$24.35/hour to start, $26.35/hour after 6 months
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides care of county equipment, checks fluid levels, lubrication, tire pressure, etc. Provides cleanup and minor maintenance to county shop facilities and grounds. Loads and hauls rocks, gravel, dirt, asphalt, etc. Patches and constructs roads and streets, shovels mix, rakes, compacts, etc., operates roller, asphalt distributor, front-end loader, trucks, sanders and snowplows. Operates a bulldozer, graders, and other equipment. Perform drainage and ditch work, digs holes, sets poles, builds fence, etc.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a commercial driver's license Must be capable of performing a full range of physical demands in order to respond to emergency situations. Must possess the knowledge and skill to perform safety inspections on trucks and other equipment. Color vision needed to read color coded gauges on front-end loader, to drive trucks, and to operate equipment. Experience operating equipment such as dump trucks, sanders, graders, front end loaders, belly dump, and snowplows preferred.
