Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and become a vital part of construction projects that build communities and shape skylines! In this energetic role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery with precision and safety, ensuring projects progress smoothly and efficiently. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and Caterpillar machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks. Manage various trucks including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials safely across the site. Conduct pre-operation inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with concrete mixing operations using concrete mixers and support related construction activities involving farm machinery or specialized equipment. Follow project plans and instructions to execute excavation, loading, hauling, and site preparation tasks efficiently. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and safety checks to support operational continuity. Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project deadlines while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Proven construction site experience operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, or cranes. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation and routine maintenance procedures. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or tankers. Familiarity with construction safety standards and ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Ability to interpret technical manuals and operate equipment like Caterpillar machinery confidently. Experience working with concrete mixers or farm machinery is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
