Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pipe Layer, General Laborer and Heavy Equipment Operator. Pipe Layers and Heavy Equipment Operators must be experienced. Responsibilities Accurately install underground utilities such as sewer lines, water systems, and stormwater infrastructure. Operate heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front end loader to excavate trenches and move materials efficiently. Perform construction trenching activities following safety regulations and project specifications to ensure proper pipe placement. Install pipes using pipe lasers and other precision tools to meet exact alignment and elevation requirements. Conduct utility locating using specialized equipment to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins. Assist with concrete finishing tasks such as forming and pouring concrete around pipe installations when necessary. Follow all federal construction safety regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front-end loader in construction settings. Knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewer line installation, underground utilities installation, and pipeline projects. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise pipe placement. Familiarity with utility trenching techniques for stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, water supply systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools for pipe fitting and repair tasks. Understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site safety practices. Experience with utility locating devices and utility system installation projects is highly preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
