In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty motor graders to perform precise grading, leveling, and excavation tasks across various construction sites. Responsibilities Operate motor graders and other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and backhoes to perform grading, excavation, and utility work in accordance with project specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment. Accurately interpret construction plans, blueprints, and utility locating information to execute grading and utility installation tasks precisely. Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate equipment use for excavation, site preparation, and utility work. Maintain detailed records of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and site progress reports. Adhere to all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols. Qualifications Proven experience operating motor graders in a construction setting with a strong understanding of construction grading techniques. Knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery. Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of construction machinery. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving is preferred. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures for heavy equipment operation. Construction site experience with utility locating, excavation, and utility utility work is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and follow detailed instructions accurately. Strong understanding of construction safety standards including OSHA guidelines related to heavy equipment operation.
