  • Good Equipment $1,000 Sign-on Bonus Position and or Front end loader as well as a switcher tractor in the operation of a municipal solid waste transfer station.
Perform daily maintenance inspections on equipment and perform basic daily maintenance tasks, i.e. add fuel, add lubricant oils, grease machine components, clean radiator, check filters, etc. Maintain written logs of trailers loaded, equipment inspections and random waste inspections. Operate a switcher truck maneuvering 48' and 51' foot trailers around a yard and in and out of a loading pit. Must be able to maneuver and back trailers proficiently. Must be able to connect and disconnect trailers from a road tractor or switcher tractor. Must be able roll and unroll trailer tarps from the ground using a 12' tarp handle. Must be physically able to climb ladders, stairs and perform strenuous overhead work. Perform daily maintenance and inspections on switcher trucks. Must be able to work and communicate as part of a team. Must communicate with crew members, drivers and customers. Must be able to read and understand the facility operations plan. Must be able to wear required PPE including hard-hat, safety vest, work gloves and safety glasses. Steel-toe work boots are required and must be provided by the employee. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions. Will be exposed to diesel fuel, grease, motor oil, hydraulic oil, antifreeze and solid waste. The work environment is outdoors and exposes the operator to all weather conditions. Additionally, there will be exposure to diesel fuel, grease, motor oil, hydraulic oil, antifreeze, and solid waste. CDL not required.
