Position Summary Fisher Construction Group is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator to join our Civil team. The Dozer Operator will safely and efficiently operate heavy construction equipment to perform site preparation, mass excavation, grading, backfilling, and other civil construction activities. The ideal candidate has strong operating skills, understands grade and elevations, takes pride in producing quality work, and can work effectively as part of a field construction team. Responsibilities Safely operate bulldozers and other heavy equipment as needed. Perform mass excavation, rough grading, fine grading, backfilling, and site preparation. Read and understand construction plans, grade stakes, and elevations. Maintain proper grades and slopes according to project specifications. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Work closely with Foremen, Superintendents, surveyors, and other equipment operators. Assist with general civil construction activities when needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company and project-specific safety requirements. Operate equipment efficiently while minimizing unnecessary wear and downtime. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3+ years of experience operating dozers in heavy civil or commercial construction. Proficiency operating modern dozers, preferably including GPS/machine-control equipped equipment. Ability to read and understand grades, elevations, plans, and site layouts. Strong understanding of safe equipment operation and jobsite practices. Ability to perform physical work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license preferred. Fisher Construction Group provides a highly competitive wage and benefits package.
