Heavy Equipment Operator

Gordon Services Property Maintenance is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our sitework team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations on-site. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, self-sufficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Valid driver's license required. Pay rate is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders to excavate, move, and grade site materials. Job site layout for optimized safety, flow, and organization. Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance. Assist in the training of new operators. Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation on a variety of job sites. Strong understanding of construction safety and OSHA requirements related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with equipment operation, including lifting and digging. Knowledge of GPS machine control. Ability to read blueprints and follow verbal and written instructions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well individually and in a team-oriented environment.

(Preferred. Will provide training for the right candidate if needed.)
