In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery to facilitate building projects, site development, and material handling. Your expertise will ensure that operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and passion for construction. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, skid steers and excavators to perform site preparation, grading, trenching and excavating around live underground utilities. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery on-site. Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment with precision and care to prevent accidents or damage. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the safe movement of materials and equipment across the construction site. Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations. Skills Proven experience operating a wide range of construction machinery including loaders, backhoes, skid steers and excavators. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy equipment. Familiarity with hydraulics systems used in construction machinery. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures and regulations. Knowledge of construction site workflows Excellent understanding of occupational safety regulation compliance related to heavy equipment operation.
