Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery to facilitate building projects, site development, and material handling. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance will ensure efficient project execution and a safe working environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction initiatives while honing your skills in equipment operation and site management. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material transport tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety regulations and procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols. Utilize hand tools and hydraulics systems effectively for minor repairs or adjustments on machinery. Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment such as forklifts, front loaders, water trucks, and tanker trucks. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks, ensure site safety, and meet project deadlines. Requirements Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including crane operation), backhoes, and dump trucks. Construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety regulations and occupational safety regulation compliance. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving including dump trucks or tractor trailer preferred. Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of heavy equipment and construction machinery. Familiarity with hydraulics systems, hand tools, and construction materials handling equipment operation. Ability to follow detailed safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong understanding of construction experience requirements including concrete mixers, farm machinery, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, and other related equipment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Pay:
$28.64 - $34.49 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
