Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery to support civil/site construction, infrastructure, and other project needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy equipment, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. While a CDL is a plus, it is not mandatory for this position. Most work is prevailing wage, with the pay rate indicated for non-government projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes to complete construction and site development tasks. Ensure all machinery is operated safely and in compliance with industry standards and company policies. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning. Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to execute tasks effectively. Assist with site preparation, grading, digging, lifting, and material handling as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience operating heavy machinery in construction or related environments. Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices for heavy equipment operation. Ability to read and interpret project plans and instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. CDL A license is considered a plus but not required. Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Pay:
