In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery with precision and safety to ensure the successful completion of projects. Your expertise will help maintain smooth workflow on-site, adhering to all safety regulations and operational standards. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators efficiently and safely. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment, ensuring accurate placement and transportation across the site. Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to occupational safety regulations. Conduct pre-operation checks on machinery, identify potential issues with hydraulics or mechanical systems, and report repairs needed promptly. Assist with site preparation activities by operating bulldozers and loaders to clear debris or level ground as required. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and support construction workflows efficiently. Perform physical labor duties as directed by the on-site foreman. Qualifications Experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, and backhoes. Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and routine maintenance procedures for heavy equipment. Valid NYS drivers license, CDL license a plus but not required. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance. Ability to operate hand tools and other small construction tools safely and effectively. Excellent understanding of safety regulations concerning heavy equipment operation and material handling.
