This unique position combines on-call snow and ice removal responsibilities with guaranteed custodial hours at C&S Companies when snow events are not occurring. During inclement weather, the primary focus is maintaining safe and accessible parking lots, walkways, entrances, and emergency access routes through snow removal and de-icing operations. When weather conditions are clear, the role transitions to custodial duties, ensuring facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. This position requires responsiveness to on-call snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to perform a variety of cleaning, facility support, and maintenance-related tasks. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safe and professional environments are essential for success in this role.

Syracuse Qualifications:

A valid NYS driver's license and snow-removal experience are required. Snowplowing experience is preferred. Custodial experience is preferred. The employee must be able to lift and use agency materials and equipment.
