Position Overview We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators who take pride in precision, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you will operate a wide range of earthmoving equipment to execute underground utility installation, and site grading for major residential, commercial, or civil projects.

Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:

Safely and skillfully operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, motor graders, wheel loaders, backhoes, and water trucks.

Site Execution:

Perform precision digging, trenching for underground utilities, site grading, backfilling, mass earthmoving, and loading materials according to site plans and grade stakes.

GPS & Machine Control:

Utilize GPS machine guidance systems (e.g., Topcon) to execute precise cuts and fills to finish grade.

Maintenance & Inspections:

Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, routine maintenance (greasing, fluid top-offs), and promptly report mechanical issues to the fleet maintenance team.

Safety & Compliance:

Strictly adhere to company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and utility line clearance procedures (811 call-before-you-dig protocols) to protect underground utilities and crew members.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with teammates, site superintendents, and other trades to maintain smooth workflow and hit project deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

2-5+ years operating heavy earthmoving equipment in excavation, site prep, and site utilities.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with GPS guidance systems, reading blueprints, understanding cut/fill sheets, and operating to grade.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine daily maintenance.

Licensing:

Valid Driver's License required (Class A CDL is a strong plus).

Certifications:

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred; Competent Person training for trenching/excavation is a plus. Certification opportunities will be provided.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions, and sit/operate equipment for extended periods.
