Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate a sit-down forklift to maneuver scrap metal throughout the facility Operate and maintain a chopper machine Sort various types of metals (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.) Perform basic equipment maintenance and report maintenance needs Assist with material handling and general yard operations as needed

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions Must have at least 3 years of Forklift experience Must be mechanically inclined Must be comfortable working off ladders Wage and benefits: $23.50/hour (two pay raises within 180 days) Yearly pay raises Union position Health Benefits (Kaiser medical) PTO 401k Prevailing wage opportunities
