Job Description

Angelo Underground LLC is looking for an experienced Underground Utility Equipment Operator / Field Lead to join our crew full time. We're looking for someone who knows underground utility work, is confident operating equipment, and can take some ownership in the field. You do not need to have held an official foreman title. If you're a strong operator with solid field experience and are ready to step into more of a lead role, we'd like to talk to you. This is a hands-on position working alongside our existing crew on underground utility and excavation projects. What you'll be doing Operating excavators ranging from mini excavators to larger equipment Performing excavation and underground utility work Working on utility trenching, pipe installation, backfill, grading, and general site work Loading, moving, and staging equipment and materials Towing equipment with a truck and trailer Working closely with the crew to keep projects moving efficiently Helping coordinate day-to-day work in the field Helping guide and train less-experienced crew members as needed Following project plans and safe excavation practices Taking care of company equipment and reporting any issues Stepping into more responsibility as needed on projects What we're looking for Strong experience with underground utilities and excavation Experienced and confident equipment operator Comfortable operating both mini and larger excavators Knowledge of underground utility installation, including pipe work Experience towing equipment with a truck and trailer Able to work independently and make good decisions in the field Dependable and able to work well with a small crew Good attitude and strong work ethic Approximately 10 years of field experience preferred, but demonstrated skill and experience matter more than a specific number of years CDL preferred
Pay:
From $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
