The Sorter will play a crucial role in the processing and handling of materials, ensuring that items are sorted accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to operate various types of equipment safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties Sort materials based on type, size, and condition to ensure proper processing. Operate front loader trucks and garbage trucks for material transportation. Sanitate work areas regularly to maintain cleanliness and safety standards. Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Utilize forklifts and loaders for moving materials within the facility. Dig and prepare areas for material placement as needed. Fabricate necessary components or supports for sorting operations when required. Collaborate with team members to optimize sorting processes and improve efficiency. Skills Proficient in operating heavy equipment, including front loader trucks and garbage trucks. Strong ability to sanitize work areas effectively. Experience with heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols. Familiarity with forklift operation and loader operation is preferred. Ability to clean workspaces thoroughly while adhering to safety standards. Basic fabrication skills are a plus, enabling the creation of necessary supports or tools for sorting tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
