Job Description
Job Overview Liberty Township is hiring a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our Township. In this role, you will operate various types of vehicles and equipment, including snow plows, dump trucks, loader, excavator, rollers, and other heavy equipment. Your primary goal is to ensure that the equipment is in good working order and can operate. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the community by providing and maintaining township roads for the community. Applicants must hold a valid CDL and drivers license. Applicant is preferred to be able to plow snow and cinder roads, run heavy equipment and have a level head, being able to accomplish tasks by yourself. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks, and plow trucks safely Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and rollers Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and emergency equipment Mechanically inclined in some aspects of work Ability to communicate on the job with road master and supervisors Requirements Able to be called out on weekends and late at night Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements Proven experience in dump trucks, and plow trucks Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations at the state and local levels Ability to perform heavy lifting at times Call outs on weekends and nights For more information on the job contact Richard Brown Township Supervisor by phone at 814-598-4411 or stop into the Liberty Township Office for a job application!
