Responsibilities Including, but not limited to: 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment preferred, including wheel loaders, excavators/trackhoes, or similar equipment. Must be proficient and safe operating a wheel loader and trackhoe/excavator. Experience operating a scrap material handler with grapple or magnet preferred; willing to train the right experienced equipment operator. Able to safely load/unload trucks, move scrap, sort material, and work around customers, employees, vehicles, and other equipment. Able to perform daily equipment inspections and recognize/report maintenance or safety issues. Must understand and follow equipment safety procedures, hand signals, traffic patterns, and safe working distances. Must be comfortable working outdoors in a scrap-yard environment in varying weather conditions. Must be able to get in/out of equipment repeatedly and perform physical yard work as needed. Valid driver's license Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
